Today we spent our time with MooK Millions.
-Where you from?
Harlem NYC         

-Age?
Old Enough to Qualify Young Enough to Satisfy.

-Tell my readers exactly what you do-  Businesses you own, ventures, products, etc-
I am a Mogul. I am the CEO of S.H.I.N.E Enterprises which is comprised of S.H.I.N.E Entertainment, The S.H.I.N.E Collection (Clothing Line), & Shining Star Studded Ent (Promo Company). I am also Co-CEO of #FRMT (The Filthy Rich Money Team) I also write poetry, movie scripts, plays etc….and I coach basketball.

-How did you get the entrepreneurial bug?
It was innate for the most part. I watched my pops hustle as well. He used to own a store on the Grand Concourse in the BX, be a vendor in the streets with socks, t-shirts, etc, & he sold drugs. Ever since I was young, I had a passion for creativity and generating income. In middle school I used to purchase junk food from the store and sell it for more during class. Along with that I had a team of people who made designs on graph paper and we sold it during class.

-How did you get in the game/current foray?
I first started out as the VP of my boy Jaxz’s label Loose Canonz Ent. Eventually I felt it was time to be the captain of my own ship.

-What made you embrace your position?
I’ve always been a leader. I’m very creative and innovative, plus I don’t mind taking risks. I’m not afraid of failure because I am a student of life. I learn from all experiences therefore I’m built for my position. I can deal with being praised & ridiculed. But most of all I accept responsibility for my actions.

-What keeps you in your position?
My focus, ambitions, & my supporting cast. There are times when I want to take a break and even question things, but God usually has a way of keeping me grounded and focused with loving and supportive people and clear vision of purpose.

-What are your secrets to success?
My grandfather once told me “Find something you love to do and you will never work a day in your life.” I believe people have to find their niche, true passion, & nurture their talents. Success has to be defined by your own definition, not societies.

-What don’t you like in the game?
Well many of my fields are over saturated. Everyone wants to be a promoter these days and many events don’t capture the essence of partying. Same goes for music in which I manage artists, everyone wants to be a rapper, but not an artist. Authenticity has been traded in for copying. Too much swagga jacking and no originality. People are just doing things for money as opposed to finding their calling.

-What do you like in the game?
I love managing artists because I have a true passion for music. I don’t just hear it but I listen to it. All kinds, all artists. To be apart of something creative feels great! I love promoting because I know how to party. I learned from older people, first and foremost my grandmother who took me to an Eastern Star Dance at 12 yrs old. I love helping people get out of their everyday lives and enhance that moment in which they’re at my events. It feels good to make others smile and give them great memories. As far as my clothing line goes, I love fashion immensely. Many people of all ages compliment me on my style. So I figured I can bring my visions to life for others as well.

-What would you change in the game?
The politics and the Hollywood aspect of it. Promoters now feel like a hot event has to have exaggerated budgets and feature artists, actors/actresses, etc…Get back to real music in hip hop as opposed to cars, clothes, money, jewels, and women all day. And I would get rid of all the clothing lines that people started just cause it was the thing to do.

-If I gave you a milli what or whom would
you invest in?
Me and my businesses. After I flip that and give you your initial investment plus interest, I would invest in others like myself.

-What sets you apart from the game?
My originality. I’m not afraid to be me. I won’t compromise my character for anything. Plus I care for others and invest into my community and culture.

-What made you love hip hop?
The creativity of lyrics. It’s poetry in motion over melodic sounds. I just love it.

-Who is your fav rapper/lyricist?
The Notorious B.I.G

-Best person to ever play your position?
Me. But on a mainstream level I would say Diddy.

-Best rapper alive?
Jay-Z

-Advice for my readers?

-Your definition of success?
Continued growth as a person and mogul. Impacting the world, my community, and culture. My businesses generating wealth and employing many people. My family being set for life.

Positivity and Resolve

There a are a million strategies and as many gurus to teach you how to be the best you.
We even have the new breed that say do you, f the people; these three steps…
Shameful isn’t it? Everyone wants cash for a few nuggets of advice that may or may not help target markets reach the pinnacle. Its all about the quick sales and cheap thrills. How fast can I hook you?
How quick will you order?
See they know that once you get sucked in by hype or legit goods you won’t want that money back. Even if you want a refund either pride will stop you or you will miss the deadline. You know that small script that tells you how little time you have and the services fees if you do return…

Well my friends I’ve got free and easy for you. And if that ain’t good enough there will be more where that came from!

Only two things are needed to get going and keep going.

-A Positive Mindset.
Mind set dictates results as much as surrounds if not more so. In life we have few choices we can’t control or influence. Get to the point: you are in charge. You dictate actions and outcome. What else needs to be said? Life is a stage a screen, and on it you can paint dreams or nightmares. The path you take is a result of your mind set. In your mind paint dynamic prose and superior visions. This one action will make you superior. What you believe you are you will be. Nuff said.

-The Resolve to Finish what you start

resolve[ ri-zolv ]
verb (used with object)
1. to come to a definite or earnest decision about; determine (to do something): I have resolved that I shall live to the full.
Yup that’s it. Nothing else to it. Resolve makes it happen. Scared money don’t make no money- as my peoples say. Pardon the double negative but its so simple I’ll leave it as is.
Resolve is more than a mind set, its more than a moment.
Resolve is follow thru, it is belief. Its the mission, the answer, the outcome the everything. I’m sorry but I don’t think anything is achieved without resolve. Everyone starts something- few follow through.
Life requires a mind set that has the resolve to beat the odds. True resolve tells you to take Normandy.
True resolve tells you that you are the end all be all. No challengers. And even the few who do face harsh consequences. That’s resolve. You make moves and commit beyond failure until conquests are actionable during sleep!
There is nothing else to add there.
Let your resolve move you beyond destiny or it doesn’t exist!

Small Goals Lead to Big Dreams

In life a lot of game plans are pure horse pucket. You they are doo doo.
Get the drift?
You have to make your own plan. Your won time frame. Your own goals. And your own dreams. And a list of small goals will literally lead to Big Dreams materializing in your world.

-Small Dreams.
This is a big mistake. Always dream big. Want a car. Cool but a Fiat is nothing. Look for a Ferrari. Aim for two. There is a code of success and you may choose to ignore the code. A dream book is the key step in the code. Visualize big and you will be a BIG success. If your dreams are nothing- SO ARE YOU!!!

-Big dreams.
Big Dreams are the only things that breed success. They are the vehicle to the life you always wanted. When you want something big enough you will find a way. Nat Turner, Frederick Douglass wanted bigger than their lives offered them. Ghandi and Mandela wanted more than was set as their portion. And they all found ways. They gave and gave until their BIG. DREAM became realities. What we want we must fight for. We must see the big things. When we only see small problems and small wants we get nowhere. We may get something- but it ends up a big NOTHING. Is that what you want? Nope. Dream books help us materialize what we want to get. Where we want to go. They are a physical approach to seeing our truth. Because folks, you can say you’re all about the greater good but everyone has wants. And there is nothing wrong with wanting things. So Embrace IT!
Be who you are, ask for what you want! Get. what you deserve.

-Small Goals.
Small goals are the only method. If big dreams are the vehicle, then Small Goals are the fuel. To get everywhere I’ve gotten I use small goals. For example, these articles are done in small steps.
I get a concept. Work it out.
I get my outline worked out and redo it.
Then I write the article.
After that I edit it.
Lastly its posted and word is spread across
the internet to let people know my thoughts. You see these small goals pay off over the course of a day in simple, small units. And I love it.
Reaching my goal of a million dollars earned not by a job is the same.
I came up with a concept.
I work the concept.
I share it.
I create vast growth.
I repeat process.
I reap rewards.
In anything you do make it small goals to big dreams.
Want to bench 315 lbs on the flat bench? Start small and add 5 pounds every 3 weeks. Over the course of a year you will see massive gains.
Want to be Trump, Jobs, or Gates?
Same rule.
They started with an idea.
Then fleshed it out.
Then went steps farther to make it all real.

What do you want? What do you need? What will you dream?
Small goals are the key once you answer these questions.

SAVE NOTHING!!!!

SAVE NOTHING!!!!

NO MORE SAVINGS ACCOUNTS!!!
Savings accounts are killing your dreams. Your fancy IRA and 414k are slaving you out! Stop saving your money.
Okay. Wait up folks. Let me get into all this.
There’s a lot you need to know and I only got a few of the pieces. Let’s get it in my friends.

–Ok, go ahead and save.
Save something but you shouldn’t be betting it will save you. A lot of people work like dogs and sock away that glorious 20%. Great plan. I applaud you. However I don’t agree. At this stage of my life I’ve committed to paying down my debts. I need financial freedom now. And before the economy tanked this was my thought. I knew I’d make up for lost time with the extra dollars, but couldn’t do both. So saving money is a last goal not a first. I say save something. Get up to a grand and stop. Suze Orman says save 6 months- for me that’s 18,200 bucks. Sorry Suz, but before the economy took a crap in my wallet you had a different plan for me. Ill skip you and a few others.

–Your job won’t save you.
This part corresponds to the last one. Your job won’t provide the income you need. If you aren’t a top level CEO with that golden parachute forget it. Move on. Now you don’t have to quit but reassign your drive.

–Make money. Create cash flow.
This is the only way I think we can thrive and not just survive. A friend and I have committed to buying a small amounts of .999 pure silver to hold wealth and barter if necessary. Now yes, I know this is savings. However its not fiat currency in the bank. Its not devalued dollars and I can trade it in this economy and in the event of an economic collapse- global or local.
Now this may not fit with the part of the article I started but wait- as my silver appreciates I make money. As I buy volumes cheap now I will beat the rise I see coming. And as I cash in ounces over time I will have a consistent cash flow. See how that works? Disagree with my concept fine but I have a way that is fluid and set to the constraints I designed. I have a plan. I’m in control. And a savings account wouldn’t do this for me. Look at the interest rates from ’06 to ’12 and tell me what you think.

–Let residual income save you.
This is the way most people hate. Or even outright malign and avoid. Residual income simply means money coming in the future from past efforts. That’s it. You don’t need an mlm but why not try one? Tax breaks, fiscal education, what do you lose? Its a good way to learn at the very least. If not what do you think dividends in mega-conglomerates are? Get it. Continuous income is a key strategy. Why do banks charge interest? Car loans, mortgages, school loans. These are residuals for a bank. Create your own my friends.

–You can’t reach your full potential wit a safety net.
This might be the key to my article. The heart of existence too.
When we aim for safety first we lose first. Life is a quick trip some say. I’m in my thirties and I let fear get me a lot when I was young, heights, rock climbing- no more. Last time I hit a theme park I got on every ride and got the cam picks to prove it. I screamed like a little kid but loved it in the end. And in life there is a saying: go for broke. If you do nothing but play it safe nothing will change. There is no growth. There is no dream. There is no hope.
Now I refuse to be safe. I use the club in my car and have alarms in my apartment and a go bag. But I don’t wait for safety in finance. I don’t wait for safety in my blog or my ventures. I reach for the stars. I commit funds and worry later. I’m not foolish but prudent. And here’s why: I’m used to making safe and or smart decisions and so when I take risks they are calculated. And that is smart. I share my world in this blog. I share my mind and heart with anyone willing. And I follow the financial strategies most shun.
And for me that works. I take a lot of fiscal risks. And yes I’ve lost money. I bought fools stocks too. The learning I gained was priceless. The courage I found- more so. This is my life and I won’t follow talking heads. I’m moving forward with no qualms.
I will be rich. By my hand, my choices, and with no safety net. Sorry to my fiscally prudent fellows- I won’t save to fight fear when success trumps all.

90 YEARS OLD AND STILL GRINDING!!!

This guy in my life insurance continuing edu class is 90 years old and maintaining/renewing his license.
That’s real!
I #Salute him!

In a day and age where people want handouts or have excuses he’s hanging in. He’s thriving- #thriveorsurvive is real and alive folks.
Be amazing. Be committed. Exceed expectations. Reach beyond your means and or grasp and make it happen.

Fender Benders, Finance, Freedom and Follow through.

Well folks I’m late with it today because my journey was arduous. Today I had a fender bender. Yup my car was rear ended with extreme prejudice. And while I skipped the hospital run I am in pain. However I am blessed and highly aware of it. Things could have been so much worse and I’m humbled and appreciative. I thank God for protecting me and giving me a quick lesson:

Fender benders, Finance, Freedom and Follow through.

So the accident sucked. The guy was a jerk and went from trying to walk away to threatening me to bribing me to warning me. And he was in his 50s! I expected more but I was kind, cool tempered and by the book. I called my boss, family, and the police. The lesson there- keep your temper always because it will speak volumes for you. By the book saves you. I made it to my training today despite the calamity. And when it ended early I was not required to return to work. My boss set me free to go rest. Talk about blessed! Had I cheated and faked time I may have been caught. My character remained intact, and was rewarded even though it is a reward in and of itself.

On finance people may think I should’ve took the bribe or not called the cops. You know what: did that before- twice. Never panned out well. Also I’m not guilty so my finances will not be impeded. The guy who tried to cheat, well he’s paying. Integrity is its own reward folks.

Freedom. Heck, I just feel free to be me knowing I’m home safe as I write this. I’m shook up, bruised but happy and am still doing what I love.

Which takes me to follow through. Though today was a journey. I still had something to share. I learned so we learn. Life is short, and mine wasn’t shortened today so I’m grateful. And as such I will follow through. With brevity but I am here and I am glad.
Make the most of it folks. Follow through on everything you set out to do
