The Power of the Mind

25 Dec

The power of the Mind

For this wondrous Christmas Day I wanted to be brief and share a few things that are on my mind.

Many of us are blessed in ways we cannot fathom. Or we simply forget that we are blessed. As such we should all make a Gratitude List.
A Gratitude List is simply a way to remind one’s self of all the things to be thankful for. If you are reading my blog you have alist- trust me. Start with the big things. The Family who loves you, the home you own/rent. Your Car and the great toys in your home. If you own a business be thankful for it regardless of its quarterly successes and failures. Your Friends health is a biggie as well. And don’t forget your JOB- especially if you enjoy it. I also added my silver coin collection as I take great pleasure and pride in it- and it adds to my wealth. 😉
My list of small things is crucial too:
My cats,
My blackberry,
My book collection,
My mentors.
The gym.
I could go on and on but that isn’t the point. The point is simply that when we are grateful we are happy. And when we are happy and appreciate the fullness of the blessings in our lives more are there for the taking.
The mind will attract what you put out.
Know the guy or gal who always complains and nothing goes right for? Sorry to say but they bring this madness and unmitigated loss upon themselves.
So remember that in this season of giving and cheer, be thankful, be kind, be happy.
And as you do so you attract the same.
Success is in the mind.
Happiness is in the heart.

FIND YOUR FUEL 2

9 Oct

FIND YOUR FUEL 2.

So I started this journey with you guys last week. Finding Your Fuel will be a small series. Succinct. Concise. Motivating. That’s it. Its a concept that came to me late one night while going through my blackberry and sorting ideas and concepts that I’ve stored or just recently fleshed out.
I’ve assembled a few steps to walk you thought the process below.

-Agenda 1
*Meditation.
Meditation will help tremendously.
Meditation clears the mind and the heart. It will help illuminate a clear path. Indeed it will show you what really exists within and what truly resonates with your soul.
Meditate every day at least once building to a 20 minute span. Start with 5 minutes if need be.

*Eliminating distractions.
This is a big one too.
Tv, HD, PS3, LED, PSP vita, ugh! No. No. No.
Limit or remove these distractions. The bar, the friends, all are too distracting. Try books. Try the gym. Try yoga. We can’t be balanced only chasing one goal. So breaking up your day into positive increments is a great idea. Whatever eats at your growth eats at your dreams. Would you trade your soul for abs? Exactly.

*Task lists to remove distractions and clear mental clutter.
Organize your goals, dreams, chores. Everything. I have daily lists, a wish list, a dream board- all that. I also broke down on a list how much money I have to make for my wife to stay home with the kids. And when I broke that number down to an hourly rate its small. And you know what that did for me? Created massive hope. And a reachable goal. Aka a finite target. Not a wish. And also the organization is pretty nifty too folks.

-Agenda 2
*Forgive the self.
A lot of people have hang ups that hold them back. And a lot of us conquer these hang ups but don’t forgive ourselves.
Forgive yourself your mistakes, and faults. It is so easy that it is hard.

*Forgive others.
Holding grudges will poison your soul. It will kill your heart, steal your joy, and ruin your business. None of this is productive. None of this will build your business or clear your heart. Let go of it all. People change. Times change. Grow my friends.

*Move past the past.
Your past isn’t your present. And it sure as heck isn’t indicative of your future.
Let yourself see where you are and where you are going. Nothing Else. The rest is irrelevant. Forget what was done.
YES you should build off past accomplishments.
NO you shouldn’t dwell on it.
Determine exactly where you are at and where you aim to be. If you are stuck in a rut at step 3, and there are only 5 steps- hell you are 60% done! And life is the same exact process. You may have ran before your legs were shattered- and know u have crutches. Focus on the laps you will run.
Nothing matters but where you are going. That being the case get their.

Self enlightenment.
A side note on the above agendas- These steps will produce self enlightenment. This is simply a true awareness of who you are. And this will define your actions. Motives and actions will materialize and make sense. This is something we all need and should aspire to have.

-Agenda 3
*Give. Tithe. Whatever.
I’ve never seen this not work.
It will soothe the soul. It will help others. It will build your business and it will build your heart. Give to your church. Give to the poor. Give it all. Okay not it all but sharing is caring. And it works. You don’t lose when you care. Also the infinite rewards those who give.
To those who much us given, much is required.
It’s time to step up to the plate.

GIVE PEOPLE!!!
MDA needs us and this link points to my mentors giving channel.
I make nothing and gain no love or points. But the people who win are those who are supported by the
Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Give people. Love them. And Ray Higdon has excellent perks starting at $50.00. And if you message me ill show you where he has an even better deal!
However its not just personal gain or karma. Its a call to lead. A call to be who we are meant to be. Join me folks. I gave and I respect you all enough to ask that you do the same.

I WOULD BE A SITH

I WOULD BE A SITH

So, most people will hate me for this, but hey I’m honest.  I couldn’t be a Jedi.  Denying everything I might ever want.  Ignoring urges, needs, and desires to be broke, technically homeless, and wear snazzy robes?  Nope not for me.  Sorry.  See I like Lamborghinis. Ferraris, Porsches, and M3s oh my!

Back to focus though- first I apologize for the lack of articles.  I had some technically difficulties and had to write on scratch paper until I could get my tech back to perfection.  As I was saying- I would be a Sith.

The Sith are comparably powerful, self indulgent, and are still masters of their craft.  All things that most people when they are honest will agree that they approve of.

-No one wakes up denying a lust for success.

Everyone wants to be successful.  To complete goals and dreams gives a sense of success, confidence and poise.  People who build from success to success are guess what?  Extremely successful you see I’ve never met a person who wanted to be third place.  Heck, no one goes to the Olympics for silver!  We all want to be winners.  To triumph where others fail and where few shall venture is the very pinnacle of existence in some cultures and for many many people.  Have you never not wanted more? Pardon the double negative but I write it purposely to convey my point.  When you were little and you played monopoly you wanted to win.  You may have bought the crap properties but you had a strategy that you thought led down the path to victory.  I rest my case.

-Sith chase their desires.

When you were young, and maybe even in your older age (I digress I’m in my 30s) you wanted things.  To race cars, build a motorcycle, relive the movie easy riders.
Today many of us have traded freedom for security. What I mean is that we have traded jobs for dreams and mortgages for adventures. Now there’s no problem with growing up- can’t be Peter Pan forever. Yet slaving all day under a boss is surely not the American dream. Take me for example. I want to work, but for myself. I don’t want a boss.
I don’t want a mortgage, unless there is some tax gains to be had.
I don’t want to need a union.
I don’t want the economy to dictate my employability or impede my financial goals.
I do want freedom to do as I please.
I do want time to watch my children grow.
I do want to fire my boss.
I do want to vacation anywhere, at the drop of a dime.
Don’t you?
Isn’t it time to chase dreams?
Can’t work be the same amount of passion and fun as activities you control and build wealth on?

-Sith focus.

Simple point to grasp. What you focus on you will obtain. Focused on fun. You will get it. Focused on girls, you’ll have ten.
Focus dictates your reality. If you are not focused on achieving greatness you will be nothing. Sith focused on achieving power and greatness. Shouldn’t you focus on the same if you want to leave the 9 to 5 grind behind?

-Sith hone their craft.
You want to be wealthy. You will use options or perhaps real estate or an MLM. No matter the path to wealth and freedom you choose you must work at the skills it takes to accomplish it. Flippers need to know variables, comps, tax rules, et al. Options traders must know candle stick charts, timing, and when to get in and out of an option. And in MLM you have to know how to identify your warm market, seize your cold one, and solve problems for people.
In any venture and all ventures you must learn the skills needed. And this is a lifetime process.
Ted williams talked to pitchers to learn their habits. He examined the game. He used the sports casters and news reporters hatred to fuel him. He worked day in and day out at his task and his reward was true baseball greatness.
Work at being great and you will be.

There is nothing wrong with being only partially altruistic when chasing your dreams. But if you focus and give back you will succeed. If you practice daily. You will succeed.

Let desires and wants add fuel to your why to get you to your dream accomplishment.
