Find Your Rhythm (Find Your Fuels 3rd installment)

Find Your Rhythm.

Life moves fast. And odds are you are wasting a hefty amount of time not by being unproductive but by being off point. Ever notice that when you’re in the groove things work in an almost magical way. Your stars align, the trains on time, and the dry cleaner made your suit ever so crisp.
The secret here isn’t vitamins or magic incantations or mystical blessings.
It’s Finding Your Rhythm.

-Go With Your Gut.
At every turn their are options. You have to focus and learn to know without knowing. And no, I’m not a Jedi. What I am saying is that we all have an intuition. Intuition let’s you see what’s coming albeit not as clear as a picture. Intuition is what I consider to be my guiding light. It will show me many paths and usually in an order that precipitates growth, peace, or success. I’ve had my intuition show me danger and save me from it. Literally. I’ve met people who would bring me harm or rob me of my peace. And intuition has shown me out the gate that these people are poison. And so I avoided them. This is really important folks. Many people will disrupt your rhythm. In fact they may come into your life only to do just that. Many people thrive on bringing failure to others. And knowing to avoid them alone will bring you unparalleled success. This is essential when picking your team folks.
Intuition will help you feel what avenue to travel on the road to success. Ever worked a job you hated? And from the first day it felt wrong? There was a voice inside of you that knew this wasn’t right. At that point you were out of your rhythm. Not every dollar is a good dollar. And most jobs we take can be equated to slavery. Why you ask? Because even though you are paid you are suffering the whole time. Someone else is winning off of your efforts. For me I feel this a lot. I have a great job. Love it. However it isn’t what’s best for me. Rising to the top as an entrepreneur is. How do I know?
The idea brings me peace.
The idea has been there since critical thinking’s inception in my cranium.
And as my intelligence has grown so has my intuition. And both tell me its time to fly solo.

-Dancers.
Lastly have you seen Dancing with the Stars? A lot of these people can’t dance. They have no rhythm. They are out of sync. And it shows. Do you see where you are out of sync? Are you aware you are off rhythm to the Beat of Life? Finding your rhythm will be akin to fresh air. It will be like enlightenment to a Buddhist I hope this last bit of imagery illustrates how important it is to Find Your Rhythm.

FIND YOUR FUEL 2

FIND YOUR FUEL 2.

So I started this journey with you guys last week. Finding Your Fuel will be a small series. Succinct. Concise. Motivating. That’s it. Its a concept that came to me late one night while going through my blackberry and sorting ideas and concepts that I’ve stored or just recently fleshed out.
I’ve assembled a few steps to walk you thought the process below.

-Agenda 1
*Meditation.
Meditation will help tremendously.
Meditation clears the mind and the heart. It will help illuminate a clear path. Indeed it will show you what really exists within and what truly resonates with your soul.
Meditate every day at least once building to a 20 minute span. Start with 5 minutes if need be.

*Eliminating distractions.
This is a big one too.
Tv, HD, PS3, LED, PSP vita, ugh! No. No. No.
Limit or remove these distractions. The bar, the friends, all are too distracting. Try books. Try the gym. Try yoga. We can’t be balanced only chasing one goal. So breaking up your day into positive increments is a great idea. Whatever eats at your growth eats at your dreams. Would you trade your soul for abs? Exactly.

*Task lists to remove distractions and clear mental clutter.
Organize your goals, dreams, chores. Everything. I have daily lists, a wish list, a dream board- all that. I also broke down on a list how much money I have to make for my wife to stay home with the kids. And when I broke that number down to an hourly rate its small. And you know what that did for me? Created massive hope. And a reachable goal. Aka a finite target. Not a wish. And also the organization is pretty nifty too folks.

-Agenda 2
*Forgive the self.
A lot of people have hang ups that hold them back. And a lot of us conquer these hang ups but don’t forgive ourselves.
Forgive yourself your mistakes, and faults. It is so easy that it is hard.

*Forgive others.
Holding grudges will poison your soul. It will kill your heart, steal your joy, and ruin your business. None of this is productive. None of this will build your business or clear your heart. Let go of it all. People change. Times change. Grow my friends.

*Move past the past.
Your past isn’t your present. And it sure as heck isn’t indicative of your future.
Let yourself see where you are and where you are going. Nothing Else. The rest is irrelevant. Forget what was done.
YES you should build off past accomplishments.
NO you shouldn’t dwell on it.
Determine exactly where you are at and where you aim to be. If you are stuck in a rut at step 3, and there are only 5 steps- hell you are 60% done! And life is the same exact process. You may have ran before your legs were shattered- and know u have crutches. Focus on the laps you will run.
Nothing matters but where you are going. That being the case get their.

Self enlightenment.
A side note on the above agendas- These steps will produce self enlightenment. This is simply a true awareness of who you are. And this will define your actions. Motives and actions will materialize and make sense. This is something we all need and should aspire to have.

-Agenda 3
*Give. Tithe. Whatever.
I’ve never seen this not work.
It will soothe the soul. It will help others. It will build your business and it will build your heart. Give to your church. Give to the poor. Give it all. Okay not it all but sharing is caring. And it works. You don’t lose when you care. Also the infinite rewards those who give.
To those who much us given, much is required.
It’s time to step up to the plate.

FIND YOUR FUEL

5 Oct

FIND YOUR FUEL.

Life is short. Its the journey not the destination. Just do it. Have no regrets.
Well, we’ve all heard these and many more and as cute as they sound or as quick and as well as they pull our hearts strings there is a silent truth that runs even deeper.
A truth that only you will know.
Only you can find.
Anything worth doing will draw you in. Indeed you will be sucked to the very middle of the creative vortex in your search for greatness.

And in this search I urge you to Find Your Fuel. What do you love? Why do you love it?

What do you think of when you go to bed at night, and when you wake in the morning?
These questions should not require pause or thought. Indeed if you can not answer me in the blink of an eye you have wasted years I’d wager.

Finding your Fuel is about more than why you do something. Its about who you are. The collective of the infinite that is your every waking moment. When you are not of one accord- mind, heart, and flesh- you are not whole. In effect you have self-neutered. Is this what was in your dreams as a child? I’d bet not. Finding your Fuel is all about the all. To Find your Fuel eclipses even the nominal- ‘what is your why.’
Your Fuel is quite literally the stuff, the moxy, that will let you self-sacrifice. It is what the true leaders had or have. True Fuel ignites a fire and a passion so deep that it was burning before you were born and gets stronger whether you ignore it or fan its flames. The only question is will it be the wind in your sails or the breeze denying you safe passage?
Only you can decide this. Life requires you to move and move well and even if you are late to set sail there is time. Your fuel will make a lifetime pass in an instant. And it will make a lifetime worth it. Feeding your Fuel is like consumption and consummation. First you are consumed and enraptured with one idea. One goal. One pursuit. One dream. After that you consummate the deal. You commit. You love it like the wife in Proverbs 31. You are it. One flesh, one journey, one dream. That is FINDING YOUR FUEL!
It is simply about seizing the dream. There is an answer that already lies within you and you simply have to heed the call.
No purpose is served by you being less than great, and to assume your calling is not to magnificence is foolish.
Be the best. Be who you are.
