7 Tips to Build THE LinkedIn Super Network

7 Tips to Build THE LinkedIn Super Network

Social networking has increased internet use and become a boon to big and small businesses alike., LinkedIn may just be the most critical as many business owners and decision makers congregate there.  The key to making it work is to not simply connect with your cousins, bros, and frat members, but cultivate, unique and critical relationships with both other business owners and potential clients.

However this Super Network won’t happen in 24 hours.  I’ve got 7 tips to get you the true benefits of a LinkedIn

1. You must Optimize your profile: right out the gate the easiest way to do this is change your profile picture. LinkedIn considers this freshness so to speak and it may help your ranking when others are searching for just what you have or are.

2. Tell people who you are, who you help and how you help them in your headline: If your headline communicates these it will grab a person’s attention. If I don’t read your headline and know exactly what you offer and why I need you and not the next guy in the cue- you’ve already lost me.  Be clear and compelling folks.

3. All current and past work experiences must be filled out: People are always looking for you.  Maybe not you but what you offer and a past acquaintance may be just the thing to swing their vote in your favor. When you list all of your places of employment, including where you went to school, you create a vast net for catching those who are a perfect fit and those who need your resources and skills. Also these connections may be through people you don’t know personally but through other relationships you’ve made.

4. Join targeted groups: This is perhaps the most effective way you will connect with professionals of the same mindset.  These groups are filled with people serious about their LinkedIn network.  These are the folks looking for deeper connections. Participation in these groups fosters a greater exchange of knowledge between you and others.

5. Create a targeted group: Leading a group can give you a certain level of credibility.  It also allows you to connect with serious professionals on your field.

6. Use personal invites: I think these surpass connection requests. This is the first time people hear from you.  So make what they see count.  Be cordial, engaging, and helpful.

7. Endorsements and recommendations go along way: This will enhance your profile.  However done wrong you are self-sabotaging.  Mass/generic e-mail to clients or colleagues asking for written recommendations etc isn’t proper. . 1st, make a list of those who have great stories about you to share.  2nd, contact them personally.  A call is best but a personalized email will do.   Let them know your intentions and discuss how you helped them in the past so they know what story would work best.  Endorsements are the same, and are a simple click of the button too. And don’t forget to let them know you will be endorsing their strong suits, or unique skills as well.

Why you NEED a Blog and HOW to Blog

9 Aug

Why you NEED a Blog and HOW to Blog.

So I’ve heard the same question I asked before in many different ways-
Why blog?
Do I need a blog?
How do I blog
Why would people read my blog?

There are billions of people on this planet and many of them are looking for the same. answers you are. And many people are looking for guidance to get there. Now you don’t have to be at the top, but you do need to know the basics. And as such, let’s explore them.

*Step 1:
Never blog about what you don’t know or can’t sell.
If u hate math, blog about anything else. If you aren’t intimately involved with a subject then you are wasting your time and your readers time. Know your subject matter. You don’t need a degree, but you need to be able to create cohesive content that isn’t convoluted but easily comprehended.
I will say that you could just rant and rant and be a pedantic ass as well or instead of. However it does nothing to help you sell YOU. Or your brand. Or your product. Or your mission. What it will do conceivably is draw attention in droves or sink you faster than the Hindenburg. You see the guy with a lot of opinions, and no facts or smarts- isn’t helping anyone. He just wants to be heard.
A good blogger isn’t always seen but his stats increase, his targeted market improves, and the fans, friends, and followers come back for more. So you can be Howard Stern, but I’d rather share insight and grow intensely. What do you want?

*Step2: Keep It Simple Stupid.
Yup, KISS works. Don’t be insulted just appreciate the simplicity. Your readers will too. Less is more when you are educating consumers and or edifying partners. Both groups want and need a simple system to emulate. They both want success. So layout a plan that isn’t convoluted or too brainy. I’ve known quite a few marketers who forget that what they have mastered- is a foreign language to their recruits. Start from the beginning. Stephen Hawkins is brilliant. An unparalleled genius. Yet his true strength lies in his ability to take complicated topics such as astrophysics, chaos math and other sciences and break them down for the common man. His books can teach you things college can’t. Because his methods and word choice is cohesive in such a fashion that a twelve year old can grasp it.
This is the goal. I don’t care if you’re Good Will Hunting or MIT’s finest. If you can’t reach the people you have failed.

*Step3: Repeat this process.
Every article, every blog, every time. Let it be simple. Let it be fun. Do your best and recreate great material. The process is is what you put into it.

*Step4: Enjoy yourself.
You should relish every step. Every blog post. Have fun. Its all yours.

*Bonus concept:
Solve problems.
When you can see what people need and supply the way or show them the path to achieving you will have the team of your dreams.

The zero budget (start up)

How you say?
The million dollar question. And its never easy. Yet it is doable. We can all attain anything we want if our minds accept that nothing is beyond our reach. I’ll layout some steps here and I welcome you to add to them and educate me. We all win in group discussion.

Blogging has taken the world by storm.
It is perhaps the new version of the net. The net proliferated education and skills beyond anyone’s imagination. And some people want you to not get there either. Well too bad for them. Youtube changed an era. And I advice you use it. It ranks 3rd behind only google and facebook on Alexa. So do that people. However today we will discuss blogging. Blogging put customized web and sites in the palm of your hand. You can be anything. Do anything. And it is easy!
Step one- start a blog. It doesn’t have to be the best. Momentum is built by action.
Some concepts now:

*Blog(s) generate results. In most cases though it is passive. Meaning six to nine months for ROI. Yup 6-9 months for a Return On your Investment. So start now! This simple, FREE option can build a world of opportunity for you.
*Blog for cash.
You can literally blog for cash. By providing quality content for others you can garner a paycheck and make yourself look pretty darn good. On average you will do two to three bucks a 500 word article. But if you grind out its there- money for the taking.
This will also build your online reputation aka your rep which means people will know you from a distance. People will see you as quality before your pitch. And there in lies the win. on their dime. Not to say you should abuse the concept- but if you simply make it work everyone wins.

-Barter for more back-linking.
So you are blogging away. And you’re pretty darn successful. So make sure you get the rights to extreme back-linking. Now there is not a big difference in back-linking when you are beginning. Just get it done. Make sure you are getting every possible option for back-linking you can. You back-link for me you force my hand. And the same for every other person you do business with. Money and business require we get everything we are entitled too. So do it folks.

-Get the deadlines done that pay.
Simple. Elegant. To the point. If your venture requires X amount of recruits to lower your cost- why aren’t you doubling that number?
My venture has a Refer Three get Yours Free option. And it is my main goal. Not just to make money but save it. That’s good business. Need in? Make a choice people.
In every option there are points that will dictate your costs and success options. If you don’t commit and make it to level three-
How do you get to level four? Pardon the cheesy video game analogy but I feel my core audience agrees.

-Tax write offs.
Yup. They mean you make money on simply doing the right things. The USA, the IRS both reward small business owners. Why would you NOT accept their grace and good wishes. There are a plethora of tax breaks, deals, and write offs you can use. I’m not an expert so speak to one people. Therein lies the knowledge you need. But I can tell you for a fact that you will save thousands which will make thousands. So that’s a win-win. And at the least you will build a future like I am by writing off dollars for dollars.
(Ask me how)

-Thrive don’t survive.
Always spend less than you make.
This one step enables you to invest in a business.
And this step supersedes indirectly the tax step. It works. When you are smart in this method the dollars you spend are then recouped at tax time.
When you aim to thrive and not survive you are ahead of the curve. We must spend in the right direction. At times college is NOT the answer.
What is the answer is aiming for more. Keeping receipts.
Spending dollars that duplicate.
And if your job pays eight hundred, than you learn to live off of seven hundred.

Love you or hate me.
So I’m going to keep it brief and reiterate some previous concepts – sort of.
What are you looking for?
Are you trashing the boss at water cooler, but you keep doing the overtime?
You talk about being the king, but won’t fight for the kingdom?
Great! Nice! Been there. Done that.
Truth be told I’m barely free from my self-imposed slavery.
And without further ado:

-What are you looking for?
Do you really want to be your own boss or just like to say it because, hey its the American Dream? No problem if its not for you. Many people don’t know what they want and that’s fine. However, don’t lie to yourself. Honesty is not overrated. And when you lie to yourself you kill your dreams, your esteem, and your ability to conquer the world around you.
If you like being a worker or a ceo or manager at someone else’s company that’s just fine. There is a position for everyone in the world. Someone has to change tires. Someone has to cook. And there is honor in an honest days work. So tell yourself the truth everyday and make the best of everyday.

-Do you simply talk the talk or do you walk it too? This is a big one. A lot of weekend warriors and armchair investors will hate me now- you’re phonies. Sorry its true. Let me explain. A lot of people do what they can with what they have. And that’s fine. You’re making do congrats. I don’t applaud you. Its one thing to save money and make a project to bond with your son and teach him the family craft. Its another to pretend to be your own man to have some nifty stories to tell and puff up your chest with. Sorry its true. You pour over the wall street journal daily and every now and then you make a “savvy” investment. Cool. After the buy and sell commissions, the other miscellaneous fees, oh and those pesky taxes you MUST pay- you made zilch. Thanks jack but what you don’t see is that what you do with your ten hours pretending is nothing. And the reason is:
Point. Blank. Period. Right now your priority is your JOB. You get up on time. Arrive on time. Call out seldom, and speak the corporate jargon. You tow the line. And you do it well. And there in lies your failure.
When you don’t live, breath, eat and sleep your dreams you have already lost.
When your job is #1 because it pays the bills you have become a slave.
You pay the bills.
You make it happen.
You are the one being your best. You simply are putting your effort in the wrong basket.

-How do we fix this?
Stop living for a paycheck and start working for YOUR DREAM. Get your mind wrapped around the fact that if you don’t build your dreams now you will build THEIRS FOREVER. What do you really want. Will you love you and hate me for telling you the TRUTH? Or will you commit to getting your life on track here and now. Let’s build the momentum that guarantees success. Tap into my knowledge.
Tap into THE Infinite.
Tap into your fears.
Use your fears to move you to the life you need. Your fears can sink you or build you up. Timing is everything and It, is time.

10 Things You Must Know Social Security Insurance was established in 1935 as a financial safety net for older Americans. Eight decades later, all Americans pay into the system, with Social Security the largest source of income for citizens age 65 and older. During 2012, nearly 160 million workers will continue to have 4.2 percent of their pay deposited into the Social Security Trust Fund instead of the usual 6.2 percent, according to a statement from the IRS based on the Temporary Payroll Tax Cut Continuation Act of 2011. The program is based on contributions that workers make into the system. While you’re employed, you pay into Social Security; when it’s your turn to retire you receive benefits. You can start your Social Security retirement benefits as early as age 62 or as late as age 70 (if you were born in 1960 or later, your full retirement age is 67). Your monthly benefit amount will be different depending on the age you start receiving it. The amount of money you receive from Social Security is based on a number of factors, including how much income you earned throughout your working years, the year you were born, and the age at which you file for benefits. If you claim Social Security early, your benefits will be reduced by a fraction of a percent for each month before your full retirement age. Even if you’re not approaching retirement, whatever your age, or income, Social Security is a part of life that impacts us all. Staying aware of the changes in this important government program will help you be better prepared, in both your present and future financial planning efforts. The following 10 points are based on best practices recommended by the U.S. Social Security Administration of policy website.
