Don’t celebrate Before the Victory

24 Apr

There is a big difference between confidence and undeserved celebration.

Declare your victory- believe and know you will conquer.
Then go out there and Dominate.
But do not brag, or boast before the win.
Confidence will take you far, but arrogance will do nothing for you.

Hope this brief post helps.

2016 Goals update

1 Mar

So I’m not going to even address the goals as far as successes and failures.

I will admit I didn’t hit a few of them in February.

However, looking at my goal sheet and my affirmations, Damn! Am I fired up!

Why.
Simple.

I see a change in me.
How you say?

I realize now that my goals not only need to be fine tuned but that the goals and affirmations, while positive don’t express my true hearts desire and ability as I have moved forward.

In 60 days so much as changed.
I’ve embraced my fears, and seen a skill set I previously was afraid of emerge in full bloom!
Damn! And I say that not to toot my own horn but to invigorate you my readers and compatriots.

Everything is possible.
Put in the effort.
Commit to it.
As I heard earlier today from a mentor- you can be married but still not committed.

Are you ready to commit to freedom and controlling your destiny?

Use your Skills

17 Feb

So I’m at what I consider a trendy spot in Manhattan waiting for a meeting to start.
So I figured I’d kill time and get some grilled Brussels Sprouts- don’t knock em till you try em.

And tonight is a trivia night.

So me being me I struck up a conversation with the gentleman running the event.
I asked if this was his job.
He sad no.
I asked why he did it.

And it wasn’t the money.

He had a real job, making amazing bank.

He did this in his spare time to utilize his acting skills he had honed in years prior.

This “Work” was his release.

I say all of this to encourage you- my readers.

Not everything is about a dollar.

But everything is about utilizing your skills to get where YOU want to BE!

That is it.
No call to action.
No chutzpah, etc

You read my blog, you know what to do.

Kevin Abosch sells photograph of potato for $1.5 million

25 Jan

There chips certainly aren’t down for photographer Kevin Abosch.

Source: Kevin Abosch sells photograph of potato for $1.5 million

I haven’t read the whole article, and I don’t plan too.

The fact that photographs of potatoes sold for a million plus blows my mind.  Marketing, and quality product had to have played a role.

Or even more simply- a man who honed his craft, now cashes in.

I could go on and on but I want to see what my readers think.

AM I a fool?

Was the buyer?

Hit the comments folks.

Freedom Is

18 Jan

Nuff said.
Stop working for. 49-52% of your wages, and most likely despising it.
Now that’s the definition of insanity if I ever heard it.
Figure out what you love, and Monetize it.
There is always a way if you are willing to go hard and never quit.
Immediate decisive action on this path will lead to fulfillment, and income. 😉

Monday Motivation

18 Jan

A little Monday Motivation.
Call it BHAG, aka
Big

Goals

If it isn’t too big for where you’re at now it isn’t a goal.
Exceeding your own expectations should be your new normal.

My immediate goals and year long ones are ones I wasn’t sure I could accomplish. However, putting them on paper and sharing with my inner circle has galvanized my inner compass.

What is motivating you?
Have you written out your goals?
Do you have a specific, step by step plan to get there?
Let me know.
Like/comment if I motivate you.

Today’s Reading: future imperfect

16 Jan

I’ve been on a role, focusing on personal growth as opposed to sales.
I re-secured a prior business venture that made me money in the past so that was a huge success for the week.
And so, after Chest Day at the gym I will read Future Imperfect.
I dig the way Hulk looks with the white Mr. Burns type hair cut lol.

Lesson here: work 24-7 is being touted as the only route by every small business jerk- I mean owner on. Instagram. Sure guys, that works- NO!
You need a rest. You need a reward.
Your mind and body needs time to detach.
And the plus side of this: I’m still reading!

Lesson Learned- Work Harder!

2 Jan

So I tried a new barber today.

The lady I had cutting my hair switched locations.
Actually she closed her shop and rented a chair.

Then that place sent her elsewhere (did I just rhyme?)
Well, back to the facts.
I took a gamble and ended up with a master barber!
He not only took me right away saving time, but I didn’t need to see the guy who usually does my secondary cut!

Now- yes I’m particular- but my image is part of my branding, and it’s just how I like to look.
This guy was motivated, spoke two languages, and cut hair like a PRO.

What are the lessons here:
-the first barber, ran her business bad.
This led to her losing my wife and I as clients as we couldn’t find her easily.

-the first barber didn’t make sure we could reach her.

– the first barber didn’t make herself irreplaceable.
Wow. Ouch. Yes. I couldn’t keep her as she was all over. Lost my loyalty.

-the new barber was ready.
He saw me come in and met me at the door. So he got my money.

-the new barber did what I usually pay 2 people for – in less time! Nuff said.

-the new barber has 2 jobs.
Being a barber is his 2nd job.
Or should I say he does it after the day job?…
Regardless he met my expectations, and exceeded them.

The lesson here- it isn’t that you need to do double shifts.

The lesson here isn’t that more hours mean more money.

The lesson is you play to your strengths.

-the new barber – he cuts from 6pm to 12am-ish.
That means he is willing to corner the market on men who work day jobs!
He does this 6 days a week.

YOU do the math.

Be Superman!

21 Dec

My motto now as life has changed.
Be who you say you are.
Better yet, be more than that.
Superman isn’t a myth- he is you when you live by example.
Never give up!!

Seriously, fear is your number one enemy.

But have faith, not only in your God, but in YOU!

If you don’t believe you will Conquer, than YOU WON’T.
Period.

Be the greatest you – YOU can Create.
Who are you to question the greatness you are destined for?
