Small Goals Lead to Big Dreams

Small Goals Lead to Big Dreams

In life a lot of game plans are pure horse pucket. You they are doo doo.
Get the drift?
You have to make your own plan. Your won time frame. Your own goals. And your own dreams. And a list of small goals will literally lead to Big Dreams materializing in your world.

-Small Dreams.
This is a big mistake. Always dream big. Want a car. Cool but a Fiat is nothing. Look for a Ferrari. Aim for two. There is a code of success and you may choose to ignore the code. A dream book is the key step in the code. Visualize big and you will be a BIG success. If your dreams are nothing- SO ARE YOU!!!

-Big dreams.
Big Dreams are the only things that breed success. They are the vehicle to the life you always wanted. When you want something big enough you will find a way. Nat Turner, Frederick Douglass wanted bigger than their lives offered them. Ghandi and Mandela wanted more than was set as their portion. And they all found ways. They gave and gave until their BIG. DREAM became realities. What we want we must fight for. We must see the big things. When we only see small problems and small wants we get nowhere. We may get something- but it ends up a big NOTHING. Is that what you want? Nope. Dream books help us materialize what we want to get. Where we want to go. They are a physical approach to seeing our truth. Because folks, you can say you’re all about the greater good but everyone has wants. And there is nothing wrong with wanting things. So Embrace IT!
Be who you are, ask for what you want! Get. what you deserve.

-Small Goals.
Small goals are the only method. If big dreams are the vehicle, then Small Goals are the fuel. To get everywhere I’ve gotten I use small goals. For example, these articles are done in small steps.
I get a concept. Work it out.
I get my outline worked out and redo it.
Then I write the article.
After that I edit it.
Lastly its posted and word is spread across
the internet to let people know my thoughts. You see these small goals pay off over the course of a day in simple, small units. And I love it.
Reaching my goal of a million dollars earned not by a job is the same.
I came up with a concept.
I work the concept.
I share it.
I create vast growth.
I repeat process.
I reap rewards.
In anything you do make it small goals to big dreams.
Want to bench 315 lbs on the flat bench? Start small and add 5 pounds every 3 weeks. Over the course of a year you will see massive gains.
Want to be Trump, Jobs, or Gates?
Same rule.
They started with an idea.
Then fleshed it out.
Then went steps farther to make it all real.

What do you want? What do you need? What will you dream?
Small goals are the key once you answer these questions.

SAVE NOTHING!!!!

21 Sep

SAVE NOTHING!!!!

NO MORE SAVINGS ACCOUNTS!!!
Savings accounts are killing your dreams. Your fancy IRA and 414k are slaving you out! Stop saving your money.
Okay. Wait up folks. Let me get into all this.
There’s a lot you need to know and I only got a few of the pieces. Let’s get it in my friends.

Ok, go ahead and save.
Save something but you shouldn’t be betting it will save you. A lot of people work like dogs and sock away that glorious 20%. Great plan. I applaud you. However I don’t agree. At this stage of my life I’ve committed to paying down my debts. I need financial freedom now. And before the economy tanked this was my thought. I knew I’d make up for lost time with the extra dollars, but couldn’t do both. So saving money is a last goal not a first. I say save something. Get up to a grand and stop. Suze Orman says save 6 months- for me that’s 18,200 bucks. Sorry Suz, but before the economy took a crap in my wallet you had a different plan for me. Ill skip you and a few others.

Your job won’t save you.
This part corresponds to the last one. Your job won’t provide the income you need. If you aren’t a top level CEO with that golden parachute forget it. Move on. Now you don’t have to quit but reassign your drive.

Make money. Create cash flow.
This is the only way I think we can thrive and not just survive. A friend and I have committed to buying a small amounts of .999 pure silver to hold wealth and barter if necessary. Now yes, I know this is savings. However its not fiat currency in the bank. Its not devalued dollars and I can trade it in this economy and in the event of an economic collapse- global or local.
Now this may not fit with the part of the article I started but wait- as my silver appreciates I make money. As I buy volumes cheap now I will beat the rise I see coming. And as I cash in ounces over time I will have a consistent cash flow. See how that works? Disagree with my concept fine but I have a way that is fluid and set to the constraints I designed. I have a plan. I’m in control. And a savings account wouldn’t do this for me. Look at the interest rates from ’06 to ’12 and tell me what you think.

Let residual income save you.
This is the way most people hate. Or even outright malign and avoid. Residual income simply means money coming in the future from past efforts. That’s it. You don’t need an mlm but why not try one? Tax breaks, fiscal education, what do you lose? Its a good way to learn at the very least. If not what do you think dividends in mega-conglomerates are? Get it. Continuous income is a key strategy. Why do banks charge interest? Car loans, mortgages, school loans. These are residuals for a bank. Create your own my friends.

You can’t reach your full potential wit a safety net.
This might be the key to my article. The heart of existence too.
When we aim for safety first we lose first. Life is a quick trip some say. I’m in my thirties and I let fear get me a lot when I was young, heights, rock climbing- no more. Last time I hit a theme park I got on every ride and got the cam picks to prove it. I screamed like a little kid but loved it in the end. And in life there is a saying: go for broke. If you do nothing but play it safe nothing will change. There is no growth. There is no dream. There is no hope.
Now I refuse to be safe. I use the club in my car and have alarms in my apartment and a go bag. But I don’t wait for safety in finance. I don’t wait for safety in my blog or my ventures. I reach for the stars. I commit funds and worry later. I’m not foolish but prudent. And here’s why: I’m used to making safe and or smart decisions and so when I take risks they are calculated. And that is smart. I share my world in this blog. I share my mind and heart with anyone willing. And I follow the financial strategies most shun.
And for me that works. I take a lot of fiscal risks. And yes I’ve lost money. I bought fools stocks too. The learning I gained was priceless. The courage I found- more so. This is my life and I won’t follow talking heads. I’m moving forward with no qualms.
I will be rich. By my hand, my choices, and with no safety net. Sorry to my fiscally prudent fellows- I won’t save to fight fear when success trumps all.

Just Walk Across the Room

19 Sep

Just Walk Across the Room.

A lot of people have fears.
Fear of rejection.
Fear of success.
Fear of failure.
Fear of fear.

However the biggest issue here is that the fear is talking. And in any venture you just have to WALK ACROSS THE ROOM.
Start the dialogue and let the cards fall where they may. Let’s examine a few. examples shall we.

-Procuring funding is an arena where you can’t hide. To get an angel investment or even a Kickstarter one you have to be seen, be heard. People want to know what makes your idea better. I don’t even give to a charity I don’t believe in. I want to know how they spend, where they spend, and salary breakdowns. Its prudent to not waste your money so I don’t.

-Recruiting is a numbers game no doubt about it. It requires greater exposure, and more courage and cunning. However to gain the numbers you have to reach your desired pinnacle people have to know you.
WALK ACROSS THE ROOM. Meet them head on. To gain the value you seek you must lose the fear. Speak to strangers everyday. Speak to coworkers and classmates daily. There is a way to beat the game. Its called WORK. If you talk to ten people a day you will win. And even better the more you do this the easier it gets. And as my mentor says- who cares if they say no?

-Closing is key. And yet again it requires you get in front of the people. You can’t seal the deal on the net. Okay, maybe you can. Yet ever notice how much business is concluded on golf courses? Quite a bit. It is the sport of presidents, gentlemen and kings. And its also an equalizer. To close on a golf course brings a zen like atmosphere to many tense agreements. Now I’m not saying you should take up golf- but it wouldn’t hurt. People want to be closed, they need to be closed. And for that they need YOU. Give them what they want. Closing is a fine art and I won’t delve into it here. I will say that it requires a personal touch. Get involved, stay involved. And once they sign- give them more attention. Team building is an active sport not a passive one.

-Love requires a true touch. The lover must be known to the other. And this is a perfect example. To gain requited love you must be genuine. You must be real and authentic. The love of your life won’t be snowed. She or he won’t fall for a guise. You have to be just who you are. And this a perfect analogy for my network marketers.
People aren’t buying the product.
They aren’t buying the compensation plan.
They are buying you.
Sell them the dream that is you not the smoke cloud. Let them know you. Why? Easy. If you lie it will ruin you. A lot of Zeek people lost their down lines forever. Not purely their fault but they lost in any case. However the leader that builds for and with his team will have a team built for longevity. Show them you. Even the faults- not appearing weak per say- but the real you. They will follow. And you will lead.

Be your own ambassador.

Starting is Great, but Finishing is Better.

18 Sep

Starting is Great, but Finishing is Better.

In any venture no matter how big or small the key is always action.
I’m going to keep today’s article the same. Fast and complete.

-Action.
Action is everything. And the sooner you make moves the better. One reason is your grand idea may come to another mogul as their great epiphany. And that mogul will know the secret to success is to simply ACT. That mogul will make a call, outline a plan, and layout the cash to get the dream to be a reality. And sadly folks your dream, your riches, your financial freedom is gone. Now you can get another idea off the ground, no doubt. I definitely believe you can and will be successful if you get it in gear. The loss here was that venture #1 could have bankrolled the 2nd venture. And thus you could have moved from a position of power not a position of need. Now inspiration can be found in desperation, no question. However you were there once. And on top of that my friends I think its simply lost revenue and lost family time. Life isn’t short, many of us just waste away time and in the end are running to make it up.
So:
Act- Start fast, Make it work.
Move- make a call, create motion.
Talk- Tell everyone. Declare publicly your goal and stipulate a time frame the same day you act on your dream. These steps will put your feet to the fire and learn & earn.

-Inaction.
Inaction is always you enemy. Great ideas that you don’t act upon are fools hopes’.
Yup, that’s what I call them, fools hopes’. A fool will come up with a great idea. He may be the next Michael Dell or Steve Jobs, but without action he is nothing. Now I know, I know we are all someone. And I agree with that. However, what we do with the time given us defines us. And being wealthy isn’t everything but the power it wields is. You can save lives through donations, give to the poor, lead and follow when necessary. Sadly though when we have to focus on fattening someone else’s paycheck we have less to offer the world around us. You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take. Thus inaction is akin to being born with a debilitating disease that is overtly aggressive from the onset. Don’t be crippled by inaction. Do what you must and do it fast. If fear is crippling you, imagine what regret will taste like.

-Finishing.
And here is the nitty gritty. Finishing is everything. You can’t finish what you don’t start. However, what you don’t finish hangs over your head like a barbershop pole. I’m a firm believe in a man exceeding his expectations and never saying I can’t.
I went to college and never finished. I also think college is a fiscal trap- but I will finish. Even as we speak I’ve made the steps to finish my degree and maybe even my juris doctorate. Why? Simple. I don’t leave things undone. I also write music. And I always finish the tracks I start. At one point of my collegiate journey I decided to write poetry as fast as I could short or long pieces, I made sure that they had an end not a stop point.
A separate lesson there is that burnout may occur, but plan ahead. Have a finite goal. And make sure the end fits the mission/task/goal.
In conclusion it is my firm belief that it is whether or not you finish and how you finish that will define you. Finishing will close deals, and build riches. Imagine you get to meet a billionaire who will mentor you and pay your expenses. You are excited, you are ready! He/she never calls to complete the deal. You are crushed. And that is what your family, friends, recruits and teammates feel when you don’t finish what you start. Your venture must be seen to fruition and beyond. It isn’t a game or a part time task. Want to fire your boss?
Want to spend 10 hours a day with your kids- finish what you start. I hate roller coasters. HATE THEM!! So the last time I went to great adventures I not only got on every ride my friends and family got on- I bought the pictures of me screaming like a baby and put them in my scrapbook. That is my dedication to myself. I started with fear and ended with a future. Join me at the finish line.

Prioritize Your Mind

12 Sep

Prioritize Your Mind.

I don’t care what you do or how you do it. If you don’t prioritize your mind you have wasted your efforts. A clear concise plan and a cool head will triumph in most if not all situations.

-Tasks.
Everyday we all have tasks that have to be completed. And any action or decision or plan can be broken down into pieces. If you need a cake- you get ingredients. Then you mix them. Then you cook them. Cake is then frosted and eventually served and shared. I know, so easy a cave man….
However a lot of people don’t differentiate the process as multiple steps, aka tasks. Whatever you have to do, break it down into a concise list of steps.

Opening a business? Same thing. You get funding, you incorporate, you advertise. Get the drift.

-Priorities.
Now you know to get tasks done and to break anything down so a complex task becomes minimized into concise motions that create momentum. What a lot of people forget is that the same 4 steps, done out of order- create drag. Aka, you lose momentum and become the very enemy that you worked to defeat. And while this isn’t war, your life, your work are just as real. Just as serious. If you don’t fight for your success and to solidify your dreams as triumphs you are nothing. Sorry. It’s raw, its real.

The difference.
Tasks have to be done. And they have to be PRIORITIZED. In opening a business I say inc/llc first. Why? Create your corporate entity first so every action after generates action or tax breaks. Also being legit not only looks good but sets a framework. Then get a business plan and then funding. After these steps you seek clients and or advertising to compliment your prior actions. See how actions aka tasks, when prioritized create power, momentum, and legitimize you? This is how business people act. A good idea implemented wrong will ruin you or at the least delay your greatness from materializing. And sorry folks but we aren’t meant to be anything but great so don’t marginalize yourself.

-Know your goal.
Body builder vs power-lifter.
A favorite theme of mine as most if not all my readers know. I love to lift weights. However I went about it wrong. I initially wanted to get to big numbers. I wanted to be the strongest body builder- WRONG.
I realized what I wanted was great strength but in a body builders physique. A power-lifter isn’t concerned with his physique. He just crushes the weights. He lifts and lifts and lifts until he supersedes himself. What I wanted was a large mass of muscle that was well sculpted and usable. See Arnold Schwarzenegger or Jay Cutler.
While both are massively strong, the aesthetics were the key to making their dreams come true.
So know your goal.
Know what it means.
Know what it requires and what it becomes.
At that point you will find freedom and success.

They Don’t Convert!

21 Aug

They Don’t Convert!

So a lot of my readers are in networking marketing it would seem from the feedback I receive. And there are a few repetitious themes. The big ones are leads and conversions. Now we’ve spoke on this before but a mentor spoke some simple wisdom into my ear and I refuse not to share it.

If you’re a network marketer you already know that new leads, new recruits and consistent conversions are the only way your business will grow. Even if you’re a human dynamo without a great and expansive team behind you struggle will be your middle name. I have two or three mentors and all of them build well. I say two or three because one of these fine fellows isn’t a direct mentor but his methodologies and the courses I’ve bought of his qualify him as such. I even has a pseudo mentor. And he was only concerned with numbers. See the issue my friends? My mentors build teams. It isn’t to sign you fast and ‘on to the nex one’ as Jay-z put it. Its sign you up, teach you, train you, drill- repeat. This in turn builds a legacy. Not just money but a team that is long standing, appreciative, humble, and whole. And that is success.

The other guy is bouncing from business to business he always has a quick idea and a new biz for me to join. The problem here is that I can’t depend on him. He says he’s there but when people don’t stick he doesn’t either. He’s had five, yes 5 businesses in two years. And two jobs. Now that is hustle. And its also divide focus. Its also a sign that he goes after dollars so fast he doesn’t care about the people. And he was in Zeek big time. Not putting down Zeek but I have needs, we all do. Leaders need training too. My first mentor is in a business I left. And he still mentors me! This man is great. He’s accomplished, learned, and cool. If not for his product I’d have stayed. He is more than his leads. He is a leader.

Now as for the next issue:
-Everyone wants leads.
And as we have said before your network won’t grow or your business without them. Now you can do Solo ads, youtube, blogs et al. But you have to have a system in place. And you have to offer more than pipe dreams. Most people have been approached by someone who does mlm or network marketing or even just a different insurance carrier. Yet few are approached by leaders and innovators. Are you one or the other? Are you both? If not aim to be. You lead by doing and by caring. That’s it. Innovation; hey you don’t have to invent the wheel as the saying goes- just see the methods and tools for what they are. FASTER. People are creating tools and concepts and scripts at a rate that baffles the mind. The only question left is if you will chase these down and spend the money. Sorry folks but it takes money to make money. Get it done folks.

Lastly:
-Everyone is worried about conversions.
First don’t be. Not everyone converts. That’s a FACT. And the less you care the better you do. Not to say you should be blazay towards your business or life- yet there is a fine line between care and being fanatical. A no isn’t the end of the world. Ask every married guy. We all heard a NO a few times. Every guy in fact has asked a girl out and gotten rejected. No biggie the girls out number us guys. And in life and business its the same. Accept the no. Heck, let them be your motivation to exceed.
Second why are you chasing conversions?
You know what the real meat of this article is? Simple: they aren’t converting- FIND NEW PEOPLE. What do you think every business in the world does. Coke and Pepsi don’t cry at losses in the profit margin. They create diversified income streams that lead to larger profits and less risk.
So in turn, you- WE must do the same.
When people don’t convert don’t brow beat them. Move On. Either you failed or they don’t want in. Not a problem. The solution is two fold:
You sharpen your game.
You get new leads.
And ill only speak on the second part as you should be doing the first one daily. Instead of ostracizing your leads and or friends and family and warm and cold markets- you get more leads. That’s it.
You recruit every where you go.
You ask people you are afraid to.
You buy the leads if you have to.
It doesn’t matter how but you GET MORE LEADS. You share your knowledge, your passion, and your vision and you will win

So next time you are gum- get more leads. Find New People.

Exclusive Interview #4.  Spotlighting Raquel Sweets of http://www.worldwrapfederation.com/

11 Aug

The fourth interview in a series highlighting up and coming entrepreneurs and leaders.
Today we interview Raquel Sweets

And without further ado:

-Where you from?
I’m From The Bx.

-Age?
32.

-How did you get in the game?
I started promoting records to the DJ’s for Sadaday & 5*4*20 Records.

-What made you embrace your position? When I started doing Scurry Life Dvd, it got me into the labels & I started meeting Major Artist.

-What keeps you in your position?
My constant grind.

-What are your secrets to success?
Staying on my grind everyday. Haven’t had a day off in 5 years. I’m on my Can’t Stop! Won’t Stop! Atleast until I get my infinity pool! Lol!

-What don’t you like in the game?
I don’t like when certain people in charge force feed you wack artist.

-What do you like in the game?
I like how the game changed. With all the promotional & social networking sites you have more opportunities to promote yourself.

-What would you change in the game?
Just the truthfulness of it! Just because a certain artist makes a track everybody says that’s hot when they know deep down inside it’s just mediocre. If it’s just mediocre I’ll say it!

-If I gave you a milli what or whom would
you invest in?
My damn self! Lol!

-What sets you apart from the game?
I’m not scared to speak the truth! I always call it how I see it & I don’t let up! I work on Christmas, Thanksgiving & even on my Birthday because I know the minute you let up there’s always somebody else grinding for your spot!

-What are your thoughts on 360 deals?
It’s good! Depends on the artist I guess! Records aren’t selling the way they use to. You’re lucky if you can go gold the first week. So in a way the labels have to be able to recoup the money they put out & their not doing it on sales.
