Well, folks, it is official- I am a fool of epic proportions.

You see I was trying to churn out that content, videos, blog posts, tweets, Instagram, Tumblr, you name it. And considering myself savvy I set about using the basic apps on my smartphone.

You hear the sound of the fool train coming right?

So I filmed my famous crappy videos and posted them on the various social media outlets. Done. Mission accomplished.

Wrong.

As you can see from the videos I wasn’t using any of the tools at my disposal. What makes it worse is the tools are provided at no cost from YouTube! So a younger guy at my job told me today I had it all backwards, and he’s a smart kid so I fire up the old interwebs and boom, He is 2000% correct.

My views are trash on almost every video. Well actually they are trash for traffic building, sales, brand awareness- you name it. I was just feeling pleased as one video a year old has 1400+ views. HA! Eat that Boston Lloyd!

I’ve spent the last few hours learning some basics, and adding keywords to my videos- video by video. Yes I am a fool don’t be me.

Customer grabs a coffee and as they pay they see this cute lip balm and say heck yeah!

And they buy the preferred flavor. 

Now you have increased sales without adding to work costs etc.

And as they use this lip balm in public you have free marketing and advertising. 

Genius.

BlackBerry Sees 20 Million New Active BBM Users

BlackBerry reports that at the end of its first week since launching BBM on Android and iPhone devices, the BBM community has grown to 80 million users across BlackBerry, including more than 20 million new users on Android and iPhone devices. In the first 24 hours after the launch, there were more than 10 million downloads of the application. The release also said that during the first week “BBM was the top free overall app in 35 countries in Google Play™ and in 107 countries in the Apple App Store…” The BBM experience will continue to evolve, the release said. In the coming months, BlackBerry will deliver BBM Video calling, BBM Voice calling and BBM Channels – a new community building service to connect BBM users even more broadly – to Android and iPhone users. —

When you have a good product- push it regardless of what folks tell you.
Everyone I know tells me to get an iphone,
That blackberry is dead, that I’m a fool.

Well they read the local news, and listen to the talking heads.
Me I use this phone to further my dreams.
It makes me cash, builds my connections, and let’s me make simple tasks of my social media campaigns.

Lesson learned:
If it aint broke don’t fix it.
Move beyond the naysayers and crush the market!

And above all else remember failure is only a stepping stone.
