Fastest way to a 6 figure Income: Find a mentor ASAP!

30 Sep

So today is quick tip is pretty simple.

No fuss no muss. No 6 steps to success, no sales tools, no funnels, no recruiting Mastery- none of that.

Simply put if you want a six-figure income and you want it fast then you need a mentor.

The fastest way to accomplish the goal of a six-figure income is to seek out an individual who was already done when you were attempting to get done. I don’t care if you have an MBA or your lawyer or a doctor. I don’t care if you’re a chess master heck you could be an astronaut and all of that is irrelevant.

What will Propel you to the top is finding a mentor, listening to everything they tell you,and applying it.

I recently embarked on a new career path that I know can get me to 6 figures. And I have a good supervisor and a good management team but what’s going to get me to the six figures is this one guy in the office who has shown me that he sees worth in me- rather he sees value and since he believes in me he is going to set aside a lot of his time to make sure that I hit my income goals. Now what is key here that some people will definitely miss is his belief in me. Your mentor should not only be excellent at what they do and excellent duplicating what they do but they should have a firm belief in you. Let’s recap:

1- get a mentor.

2- make sure they can duplicate their system.

3- make sure they believe in you.

Traffic’s irrelevant.

13 Aug

Traffic’s Irrelevant.

Ok. Its a total reversal. But traffic is pointless. I think I learned this in two places:
-Ray Higdon.
(@rayhigdon follow and tell him I sent you) Ray Higdons doing away with online affiliate marketing to be his best in one place and one place only.

-And my closing three new students in a week on the strength of my blog.
I’m not an A student. I’m not magna cum laude.
I don’t pen prolific prose at the drop of a dime. Or as it tickles my fancy.
However I do pour my heart into my posts. And yup I missed a few days. Life got hectic.
Injuries, family, moving, bah.
No excuses.
I dropped the ball. What did I learn? Nothing. I just remembered that even Jordan missed shots. Yup, old #23.
So I quit.
I’m not buying SEO. I’m not giving freebies to lure clients. I’m not bribing, buying, or doing the things we do to win. I’m not going to do much of anything. I’m simply going to blog. And do it to the best of my efforts. And I’m going to learn. So I blog better. So you surpass me. So you make it to the top. I won’t lie. I like to win. I love reaching my goals. But when you get there too; or even before I do. That’s better than fine cognac. Its a taste of heaven. And the internet is forever. So my victory will be as well. Shoot for the moon, and get to Mars. The stars’ll always be there.

To close this one out let me make one more point. Missing shots and keep takin’em- its a big deal. Its almost key. However. Being Authentic is the cats meow as my cousin would say. You see I blog what I like when I like. And I blog ME. Any point I make I agree with or will tell you why not. Every I article I write comes to me out of my own little methodology. I stick with my wits and my pen. Well, blackberry these days. I type what’s real. I don’t do fluff pieces or take article gigs. I only write for me and my followers. And of course the people I mentor. They have made me much sharper and I’m blessed to have them.

And so my friends remember:
FOCUS and AUTHENTICITY.
These two things will sharpen your skills and resolve while increasing your success and personal growth. And in the end you can’t get one without the other. Grow, give. Grow. Give. And all the while; Keep It Real.

Quote 8 Jun

Given the scale of life in the cosmos, one human life is no more than a tiny blip. Each one of us is a just visitor to this planet, a guest, who will only stay for a limited time. What greater folly could there be than to spend this short time alone, unhappy or in conflict with our companions? Far better, surely, to use our short time here in living a meaningful life, enriched by our sense of connection with others and being of service to them.

From a mentor,
Thanks RON.

(The one thing your missing) in your business…

2 Jun

Do you have a mentor?

So you started a business, and your excited.
You’ve got a good business, great compensation plan, a long list of leads, and you know your why.
So the basics are all in line. You’re on fire to learn and you actually believe in your product- and the tax breaks afforded Americas small business owners are pretty nifty too (more on those later).
So we got through the amazing list and I have a small question-
Do you have a mentor?
If so congratulations. If not have you considered it?
A mentor is an untapped resource for many people. And one many of us cannot afford to miss out on.
Entrepreneurs, especially those that are still young have a tendency to seek business advice from their friends. And while this may be comforting and reaffirming you daily- its the last thing that is needed. See, a friend is always going to say what you want to here. In business a mentor is a better bet- they will tell you what you NEED to hear. That one advantage is tremendous. As the mentor isn’t close to you or part of your direct circle they are less likely to hold back. You may dislike the answers you get, heck you may hate some- but they will work.
So I bet your asking- well fine. You’re right buddy- but who do I get as a mentor? What would work? Better yet who?

A mentor doesn’t have to be from your line of work or business niche. They could be a realtor to your silver business. A mentor in your chosen niche is a great thing but not always the mentor you need. Any mentor that will put in the time is worth it. Most of the possible mentors you will seek out will be business people and odds are they will be entrepreneurs. Better yet, they SHOULD be Entrepreneurs. They may be professional entrepreneurial advisors or just the local rich guy who fought to the top. The mentor can fill in the gaps and point you in the direction you need and helps you see what you might be missing. We all miss things, hey we are human. And a seasoned vet that can get you to see these is like a gold mine in your backyard.

A few more key points:
-Make sure your mentor is literally successful. Not the guy who talks circles around people and sounds real smooth.
– Be sure that their personality matches yours. You want to be able to pick up on how they get it done and if your way too different, it won’t work.
-Make sure they have the skill set too match as well. If they don’t have the skills you need or a way to refine the ones you have its likely you’re wasting their time and yours.
-To find the mentor you Need, fan out. Ask your friends and coworkers for advice. Attend your businesses get together’s and industry events. There’s a great chance the mentor you need is right in front of you and you.
